Before getting your pc ready for formatting, you have to know what kind of operating system you will like to run on.

I will be using window 8 as an example here, but before we go further we have to follow some procedure which is setting up your boot set up.
Setting up boot set up for use
In some system, the ways and method of entering to their boot set up differs, so what to do here is to watch the prompt commands displayed at the screen of your computer whenever you boot your computer.
Entering to boot set up F10, F2, and F12 can take you to your boot set up, as I said earlier it may not work on your own computer just follow the prompt commands.

- Type in disk part
- List disk, you will have disk 0, 1 or 2 disk 0 is your system hard drive and 1 is the hard drive you connected to the system and 2 can be any storage device attached to the system.
- Select disk 1
- Clean disk
- Create partition primary
- Format fs=ntfs quick
And that all you have successful formatted your hard drive.
Then you have to fix the hard drive back and then install a new operating system by using the first method of formatting above.
